This quote is one that I cut out of a letter I received in 1980. It was a solicitation letter for a magazine subscription. I don't remember the magazine, and I don't know who was quoted, but I have carried this little piece of paper around with me for nearing thirty years. I believe in this quote just as much today as I did then.
"I require little of my own life; it need not deliver money or fame or even happiness. But it must suggest to me enough significance that I remain interested in it, as much as if it were a play."

Wow. Awesome quote. I don't make clippings anymore - I tend to just save things I want to remember in my gmail account hoping that I'll run into them again when I need them. This will head straight there.
I feel ya. But I can't tell you how many times I have picked up this little strip of paper and looked at it and smiled. I have kept it on my desk, at work, wherever I was, for almost 30 years. I recently moved offices and was unpacking and this strip of paper surfaced. It went right next to my keyboard. There's a lot to be said for electronic "clippings" and just as much for that old fashioned paper stuff.
